The Rotary Club of Chelmsford Mildmay was the second club to be chartered in Chelmsford (on 26th November 1972) and was sponsored by the main Chelmsford Club (our 'Mother Club'). We are a lunchtime Club and meet every Tuesday, from 12.30 onwards for lunch at 1.00, at the Marconi Club in Beehive Lane, Chelmsford. (Please check with the Secretary if you would like to visit us and book a place at lunch). There are three other Rotary Clubs in Chelmsford, Chelmer Bridge (an Evening Club), Chelmsford Rivermead (a Breakfast Club), and Chelmsford Phoenix (an Evening Club). The Rotary In Chelmsford website has more information about these clubs. We have a weekly programme of talks, presentations and discussions aimed at keeping us aware of the plight of those less fortunate than ourselves, both locally in Chelmsford, in England, and indeed all over the world. A good part of our effort goes into Fund Raising, but we also have a varied social programme, and try to join in with as many of the Area and District events, sporting and social, as we can. The Events Diary link will give more information. |
